 Madhushala (Authentically as a Book)

Madhushala - The Book

For the real readers and book lovers who want to feel the depth written on the paper, the book is available in India published by Rajpal & Sons. In fact the entire literature by Sh. Harivansh Rai Bachchan (including his autobiography) is published by them in different versions and titles.

Sh. Bachchan uses hindi in its unadultrated form which at times may be tough to understand for the youth of today’s ever changing times. But as you get into it deeply and reach the hidden meaning then it will make your feel lighter and free.

  Madhushala (As an Audio CD)

There are two editions of Audio Cds in which selected verses of Madhushala have been rendered by two prominent personalities.

By Manna Dey This includes the maestro singing “Madhushala” in his own unique style and voice.
By Amitabh Bachchan HimselfThe son pays his humble tribute by singing his favourite verses from the book in his world famous voice and style.
Both these audio cds have been released by Saregama in India and available in the market.

In 2005 Bollywood-wave reached Germany and became a cause of interest in this foreign land. Mohabbatein was the reason, why Claudia Huefner wants to know more about this country, its culture, its people, most captivated by the language.

So she decided to learn Hindi, got new friends and one of them told her about the renowned Hindi poet Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan and his famous work Madhushala. As she started to translate the first stanzas she felt: there was a deep love inside. Within nine month she completed the translation, with the help of Shashvat Doorwar (from Jhansi), who guided her with the most appropriate and correct meaning of words in Madhushala, in english language.
