Aksar (2006) & A Perfect Murder (1998)

Anant Mahadevan, is surely a die-hard fan of Alfred Hitchcock, the master of suspense and thrillers. The Hitchcock influence can be seen in many of his directed movies including the current “Aksar”. The movie was a musical hit, due to the immensely popular foot tapping numbers of Himesh Reshamiya “Jhalak Dikhla Ja” and many more.

But the story content of this Imraan Hashmi and Udita Goswami starrer was highly inspired from “A Perfect Murder (1998)” featuring Michael Doughlas. Incidentally the English flick was also in turn a version of Alfred Hitchcock’s famous classic “Dial ‘M’ For Murder” (1954).
