Anamika (2008) & Rebecca (1940)

Anant Mahadevan continues to follow his Hitchcock influence in his latest venture too. And this time he goes back to the 1940 black & white classic “Rebecca” and tries to generate the similar magic in his “Anamika”.

But the movie fails to create any kind of curiosity and suspense as seen in the original masterpiece. Though Minisha Lamba looks gorgeous in the lead role of Anamika, but the treatment of the subject is not able to make any kind of entertaining impact on the viewer.
