BTC Excellence in Hindi Cinema Awards for 2013 (by Bobby Sing).

BTC Hindi Cinema Awards 2013As seen in the previous years, Bollywood Award Functions turn out to be a subject of wide criticism for being biased and unfair in the year 2014 too by the Hindi movie lovers all over. However this year the Jury of any such award function, must have gone through a really tough time making the hard choices, since the year 2013 saw many novel, important and path breaking Hindi films being made moving out of the box, which cannot be ignored from any angle or through any point of justification at all.
So if any of these Award Functions announced by a magazine or an organization completely ignores films such as SHAHID, SHIP OF THESEUS, THE LUNCHBOX, BOMBAY TALKIES, D-DAY, B.A. PASS, MADRAS CAFÉ, FUKREY, JOLLY LLB, GIPPI & more, then you can simply assume it to be another variety entertaining program being made for the channels and nothing else to say the least.
In fact, going through the numerous impressive projects released in a highly positive year for the Hindi Cinema, I too had to struggle hard and couldn’t stop myself from coming up with two sharing names for many major categories here (to give them their fair due) and I hope the readers would understand the dilemma taking it sportingly. So as requested by many friends, here is my list of the winners who achieved Excellence in Hindi Cinema in the year 2013 and with this I have sincerely tried to honor the ones who really deserved it.

Vinay Ved

I had been reading your views since years and always find then honest to the core, though I do not get much time to watch movies so I have just seen Fukrey out of the enlisted ones. I agree with your choice and thoughts for sure.

Thanks a lot for your kind words Vinay Ved and glad to see your comment after a long time.

Thanks for such a great initiative sir...

Just a few diff of opinion :

missed Lootera in music and lyrics (Ankahee) category. Mera kaun hai(Madras Cafe) had great lyrics too.

missed Sonakshi Sinha (Lootera) in feamle lead actor category

missed Raghubir Yadav (Club 60 - though u hv a special mention of the movie in your list)

Also I think movies with "original independent story" should be nominated in "story" category. One of the stories in Bombay Talkies (havn\'t seen it) is originally written by Satyajit Ray (Potolbabu Filmstar). I might hv failed to express my views in words but this is what I feel.

Bobby Sing

The pleasure is all mine brother,
But actually since this gives you the winners straight away so you might find many names missing which surely were there as the strong nominations.
And yes the original story writers are duly mentioned in the review of BOMBAY TALKIES.

Cheers!
