After “Amores Perros”, the director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, returns again with a similar kind of storyline but equally impressive as his first offering. Here again one incident of an unintentional gun-shot by some children connects all the characters with different backgrounds. But this time the narration moves into different countries showing contrasting life styles in China, Afghanistan, America and more.

In his first venture, Alejandro was more cruel and intense in his execution, but in “Babel” he keeps more emphasis on love and emotions. As the story unfolds it keeps on opening more layers of human expressions beautifully. The climax has a lasting impact on the viewer and leaves him thinking about the unbelievable connections within the stories. A highly impressive and entertaining movie showcasing distinctive cultures practiced in different parts of the world. A must see for all who love the art of storytelling through the medium of cinema.
