Chachi 420 (1997) - (Movies To See Before You Die - Comedy)

Hats off to Kamal Hassan for making this thoroughly enjoyable movie and no doubt it can be watched several times for its unforgettable comedy. Even if its idea is lifted from the English Film “Mrs. Doubtfire”, still in my opinion the version attempted is better than the English original. All artists are just superb in their respective roles. And the top among them are Om Puri, Paresh Rawal and Kamal Hassan. Their one liners are just perfect and they make you laugh by just appearing on the screen.

Kamal Hassan introduces a new flavour of soft comedy which is not over the top but is based mostly on the dialogues and expressions of the veteran actors. Kamal's make up of a lady needs special mention and his voice modulation is just perfect. This is again a comedy which should be there in your personal collection as it is a family movie and will be enjoyed by all from the age of 7 to 70. A strongly recommended perfect comedy.
