The title may seem to be confusing and its promotional poster may also look like ‘an unclear one’ to many. But skipping all the introductory lines here, I would simply like to suggest that just ignore these few outer hiccups related to this project and watch DISTRICT 9 as a must in the next few days in order to satisfy your inner urge to witness something extraordinary in the world of modern cinema.
To prove the urgency required to see this movie, I would like to give you three reasons why it needs to be watched at the earliest.
One - If you love & enjoy technology based Sci-Fi films, talking about aliens and the Other World, then you are sure going to add this in your Top 10 Sci-Fi films, the moment you finish watching it. And in case you don’t like seeing a CGI based Alien’s movie then you should more essentially watch it as it would drastically change your complete perception about such projects in just a few minutes.
Two - This is a perfect example of a film based on a brilliantly thought plot which maintains a very fine and rare balance between a novel storyline, computer graphics and human psychology through its great performances and an intelligent direction style of a mockumentary. Giving you a small glimpse of its basic plot, Can you even imagine thinking of a SLUM where aliens are living poorly, fighting for their own existence on Earth as they have no means to go back from where they actually came?
Three - A textbook example on how to incorporate graphics in a film as and when required by its original script. Normally Sci-fi films are very flashy ones with almost everything coming through the CGI channel on the screen, including the costumes and looks of its characters. But DISTRICT 9 uses the graphics component in the film so subtly that one actually starts wondering about its graphics excellence achieved after it is all over. In short, the CGI department never tends to come right at your face and it keeps supporting the basic concept of the film like a good friend. And the best part is that despite of using graphics in such a cool way DISTRICT 9 still remains one of the best Sci-Fi films ever made till date all over the world.
So if any of the above mentioned points really excites you, then do watch DISTRICT 9 as a must and have a real good time. Its one of the finest films made in the recent times using a hugely appreciative amalgamation of cinematic expressions and modern technology. Highly recommended for all.
