Darna Mana Hai (2003) and its inspirations

17 Jan, 2008 | Inspired Movies (Alphabetical) / D

The concept of using different storylines with various horror plots in "Darna Mana Hai" seems to be inspired from “Dr. Terror’s House of Horrors” (1965). In fact, while watching the innovative and entertaining English Classic, you will feel as if you are seeing a Ram Gopal Verma film in English.

Another similarity in “Darna Mana Hai” is in the story featuring Boman Irani as the Hotel Owner and Saif Ali Khan as his client. The character of Boman is highly inspired from the famous mysterious Hotel owner in Alfred Hitchcock’s "Psycho" (1960).
