Dhol (2007) & its similarities.

“Dhol” is the Hindi version of a South Indian movie called "In Harihar Nagar" (1990) (Malayalam).

But it also reminds me of one of my favourite comedy movies directed by Sai Paranjpe. Dhol's first half has four boys (instead of 3) following a girl and trying to win over her at turns. This was far better tried and in a very superior way in "Chashme Buddoor" in early eighties (1981). And this simple comedy classic is even remembered till date for its eternal entertainment value.
