The classic murder mystery of sixties having melodious songs was based on Agatha Christie’s famous crime novel “And Then There Were None”. And before “Gumnaam” the same novel was adopted by two different directors for their respective projects.

In 1945, a film was made with the same title “And Then There Were None”.
And in 1965, it was called “Ten Little Indians” which was also the title of a TV project made in 1959.

In the music department, “Gumnaam” had a hugely famous song, completely inspired from the theme music of a crime thriller “Charade” released in 1963.
