It is encouraging to know that in the current scenario of rip offs, remakes and comedies, a filmmaker is there who has the courage to make films based on social issues which need to be addressed. “Halla Bol” is Rajkumar Santoshi’s hard hitting movie inspired from some well known real life incidents which were in the headlines recently. The director intelligently incorporates the following real life plots into the movie:

1. The case of Jessica Laal Murder Case and their testimonies.
2. The riff between Aamir Khan & Gujrat Ruling Party.
3. And it also makes you remember an important figure in the theater world, Safdar Hashmi, who suffered a lot due to his ideologies. The film has certain sequences based on the actual happenings in the life of this famous theater activist.

It is surely a welcome change to see a film on important social issues, inspired by real life incidents, attempted by a well established director of Indian Cinema.
