Humko Deewana Kar Gaye (2006) & Notting Hill (1999)

This love story featuring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif has many sequences taken straight from Julia Robert’s “Notting Hill” (1999). For example the first meeting of the lead pair, the scenes where Katrina is in Akshay’s house and the complete hotel sequence where Akshay comes to know the truth and has to pose as a waiter. Though the Hindi version was fine with some good performances and few melodious songs to enjoy, but undoubtedly “Notting Hill” scores much above it in comparison.

Further the film has also takes its references from It Had To Be You” (2000) and “Falling In Love” (1984).
