LAALI KI SHAADI MEIN LAADDOO DEEWANA - Stay away from this marriage and its tiring absurdity. [TTP (To The Point) Review By Bobby Sing]

Normally a director should and they mostly do take care of the first 10-15 minutes of the film in particular, as they play a very crucial role in winning over the viewers and the film’s overall performance. Therefore you seldom get to see a film that puts you off within its first 10 minutes itself and you clearly know that it’s not going to be an easy watch at all giving you a real tough time.

This week’s LAALI KI SHAADI MEIN LAADDOO DEEWANA is exactly that kind of rare film which truly annoys the viewers with its clumsy opening and then keeps on teasing throughout offering many weirdly directed sequences and over the top performances. Giving you an idea about its wacky storyline, the very first scene right away discloses a conflict amongst the marriage celebrations of two young couples, wherein one of the brides is in her ninth month of pregnancy having a big baby bump. And then the two lead male characters (the would-be husbands), begin sharing their individual love stories going into the boring flashbacks.
Full of dull proceedings, poor songs and uninspiring acts, LKSMLD is neither a comedy nor an emotionally appealing drama to be exact, with even the seasoned entertainers such as Saurabh Shukla, Sanjay Mishra and Darshan Jariwala remaining unable to brighten up the screen in their specific scenes. Vivaan Shah remains strange and uneven throughout becoming too loud at times and Akshara Haasan’s pleasant screen presence becomes her only savior to be honest instead of any acting skills. In addition, Gurmeet Choudhary is just there without making an impression like rest of the supporting cast.
In all, the idea of a romantic comedy beginning with the marriage of a nine months pregnant girl might have sounded great in the narration given by the writer or director Manish Harishankar. But the film is far away from anything romantic, emotional or entertaining based on an unusual plot. So better stay away from this marriage attending any better function in your circle or a calm weekend dinner.
