Woh Kaun Thi (1964), The Woman In White and Vertigo (1958)

This hit black & white classic has melodious music, soulful songs and an engrossing theme based on mystery and spirits. Both Manoj Kumar and Sadhna gave splendid performances in the movie which was highly inspired from Wiklie Collin's Novel The Woman In White along with the traces of Alfred Hitchcock's masterpiece "Vertigo" (1958).

But the Raj Khosla directed superhit is also a fine example of inspiration used in the most intelligent manner. He smartly reshaped the western plot for his Indianised version and came out with a highly emotional and entertaining suspense movie.
