With more than 3 descent and Hit movies coming one after another, the year 2011 opens up fantastically for Hindi Film Industry fondly called Bollywood all over the world. Looking back, as far as I remember, I haven’t witnessed this kind of jubilant month of January ever before being celebrated by the box office in such a way. With such diverse yet appreciated movies making their impact on the viewers week after week, its indeed a Breaking News to cheer and celebrate for everyone related to the Hindi Film Industry and I really hope it keeps on going like these in the coming months too.

The year opened with NO ONE KILLED JESSICA ( A Realistic Thriller) which got wide appreciation from all and broke the first week jinx of Bollywood which restricted producers to release their films in the first week of a new year.
The second week was even better with YAMLA PAGAL DEEWANA (A Pure Comedy) becoming much bigger hit than NOKJ and witnessing some thundering response from the belt of North, Delhi and U.P. which was even equal to DABANGG at several centers.
The third week was calm but cool with Aamir Khan Production’s DHOBI GHAT (An Experimental Drama) getting very good initial in its opening weekend. Though the film was solely meant for the urban and multiplex audience but still it will easily make some profits due to its limited budget and sale of other related rights.
And after these three films came the much awaited debut attempt of Madhur Bhandarkar in the comedy genre, DIL TO BACHHA HAI JI (A Realistic Comedy) with the new 3 Idiots, Ajay, Emraan and Omi. Though at this moment I cannot comment upon the box office prospects of the movie but for me it was a nice, realistic, comic attempt from the bold director which gave me a good time in the theater.
So four consecutive Fridays giving us four good films was like an unexpected dream come true for the entire Hindi Film Industry which incidentally did not have a good run in the past year.
And I seriously pray this enjoyable chain of success continues in the coming months too and we keep on getting more such good films in routine.
ALL THE BEST and CHEERS!
