A Few Good Men (1992) - (Movies To See Before You Die - Court Room Drama)

01 Jul, 2008 | Movies To See Before You Die / Court Room

A rock solid movie with strong & powerful performances to bowl you over. It’s a movie about the dark side of the defense forces and about those hidden codes and conducts which are known only to the inner circle of the forces. It talks about the lesser known black incidents within the defense forces which are not allowed to come out in the light.

Among its brilliant star ensemble, the most powerful performance comes from Jack Nicholson as the Chief. His enigmatic court room appearance in the climax is a treat to watch. He makes you sit straight while walking into the courtroom and you can feel the impact of his impressive personality on everyone present there. The chemistry between Demi Moore & Tom Cruise is also very pleasing and entertaining to watch. Their initial scenes before the start of the court case are light and refreshing. Bollywood tried to create the same magic in “Shaurya” taking inspiration from this classy movie but failed to generate a similar experience. In all it’s a highly recommended court room drama with the most powerful personas on the screen and great punchy dialogues.
Directed By Rob Reiner
Starring : Demi Moore, Jack Nicholson, Tom Cruise & Kevin Bacon
