Contract (2008) & its inspirations |
Ram Gopal Verma gets inspired partly from “The Departed” (2006) (which was also inspired from “Infernal Affairs”), where a person is sent as a spy in the criminal gangs. But RGV version is not completely based on “Departed”. However the opening sequence where the secret service person visits the retired officer’s house to give him an offer, is quite similar to the scene in “The Assignment” (1997).
