Garam Masala (2005) & Boeing 707 Boeing 707 (1965)

24 Oct, 2007 | Inspired Movies (Alphabetical) / G

Priyadarshan made “Garam Masala” with Akshay Kumar in 2005 which was a remake of his own Malyalam movie “Boeing Boeing” made in 1985, which had Mohan Lal dating three air hostesses according to their different duty timings.

The interesting point here is that none of the above two movies can be called as original works. The actual movie behind these two versions is “Boeing (707) Boeing (707)” released in 1965 directed by John Rich. However the best part is that for the Malyalam version not only the content but even the name was blatantly imitated as “Boeing Boeing”.
