HATE STORY IV - As expected, its another film in the series of technically upgraded sleaze. [TTP (To The Point) Review by Bobby Sing]

With this latest part of the HATE STORY series, Hindi films enter into the fourth level of all forced sequels, typically made to cater a specific section of viewers offering a distasteful mix of the same old repeated things showcasing some new faces. However it wasn’t expected that the fourth part of this series will be so awful in its presentation and acting department too, taking the viewers as granted.

In straight words, HATE STORY IV is a kind of wannabe Abbas Mastaan thriller, which very well knows what is exactly expected from it serving the target audience. So if you are simply looking for some great body show, steamy sensual scenes, half-exposed female bodies and the sleaze, then the film has got a lot of it in its first half. And the second is nothing but a silly mess of illogical twists full of murders (without investigations), love, betrayals and revenge as usual.

Directed by Vishal Pandya, it has a cast ensemble (Urvashi, Karan, Vivan and Rishma), that doesn’t seem to be interested in acting from the very first scene itself, also wasting the veteran Gulshan Grover in a small role. A couple of unnecessary songs sound average while watching the film (also including a version of an old hit) and the camera focuses on the beautiful bodies more for the obvious reasons. However it’s the too loud background score and many cheesy or ridiculous dialogues which keep annoying throughout making it a extremely difficult watch.

In short, this can easily be called the new millennium version of the C grade, morning show films of the 80s. And that is the reason why the makers (rightly) used only one inviting figure of the leading lady in its posters, as nothing else was required reaching the potential smaller centers. So this can surely be seen if that interests you in particular i.e. the sleaze show of Urvashi Rautela and Ilana Dhillon.
