And it is not just about SIKHS or any particular religion alone, but its about every single individual from any religion who firmly believes in the teachings of his own loving Masters and also in the ONE SUPREME POWER above all.

Rightly said Bobby. His teachings are relevant even today, more relevant today seeing the scenario.
But as you have said we never learn. But even if a few select people follow HIS teachings,which are universal, then I think HIS work is done.

So lets not loose heart.I read a story where the husband has to go out of town for some work.He writes a letter to his wife and asks her to do some work. When he comes back and asks her if she had done the work,she replies that she had kept his letter in a box and everyday she used to worship the letter but she didn\'t do what was required.

Same is true for us. We also worship but do not follow the teachings.

BTC : What it really means to say that teachings of Divine Masters like GURU NANAK are relevant even today?

A: Relevant to practice - be the change you want to see . I can transform myself and when I am transformed the world becomes new (Prabhu ki lila).

BTC : Because this statement in reality is not just about the futuristic vision of any Master alone, but it in disguise reveals the stubborn, ignorant and unreceptive nature of this human race which has not changed even slightly or has in fact gone worse in the last 500 years.

A: There is an external reality which we see /visible in outside objects, people and situation . There is an inner reality which is invisible i.e our thoughts, emotions , feelings , beliefs, opinions , dogmas etc . The inner reality gives definition to external reality . Different people perceive the external reality differently based on their state of inner reality . Let us make our inner reality little more positive , happy and encouraging so that we perceive the external reality differently.

BTC : Now keeping the verses related to the praises of Almighty apart, If the life teaching words of a revolutionary spiritual teacher like GURU NANAK, KABIR or FARID are relevant even today after more than 5 centuries then this is not at all a positive statement to be honest. Since it truthfully means that ˜WE Humans" have not learned anything from all those MASTERS who came to awaken us in this long period since 15th century.

A: They are relevant for the inner transformation of an individual . Let us understand that both evil and good live together as husband and wife to make the play of cosmic drama interesting e.g if in a movie there are all heroes no villain no heroine, vamp , item number,masala , the movie loses its box office appeal . but our focus should be on good and the presence of evil should be understood as necessary to strengthen the good with in

BTC : If all the lessons related to \'How to live a truthful life\' given by these honorable GURUs are still applicable on our society even today then it simply means that we have done nothing as per their teachings in all these years and our social structure is still walking on the same rotten path strongly condemned by these Masters only in the past.

A: if in a news paper the news relating to dowry, rape , dacoity , murder etc are highlighted more then it does not mean the number of good deeds done are less than the number of evil deeds . if 26/11 is remembered mainly for mumbai carnage , it does not mean good deeds were absent on that day . Many people saved lives of wounded , took them to hospitals, donated blood , prayed for the recovery of the hurt . Let us not focus on bad and highlight it more than the Good. Focus on Good.

BTC: In straight words, If a Shabad (spiritual poetic verse) of GURU NANAK talking about the hidden evils of a person and society, proves to be perfectly true even in the present times then it obviously states that We have not worked on those inner evils at all and still remain the same sick people as we were in the 15th century when GURU NANAK was alive.

A: As long as the world exist both evil and good stay together . Evil is necessary to bring out and strengthen the good . LET THE TRUTH PREVAIL. MAY THE EVIL BE DEFEATED FOR THE VICTORY OF THE TRUTH.

BTC: Hence for me, it really gives a feeling of GUILT to admit that the words of a great rebellious master like GURU NANAK, said in the 15th century are relevant even today in the 21st.

A: if everything and every one is good then where is the need to practice Sri Guru Nanak and HIS teachings . Let us be thankful to evil that we get an opportunity to remember HIM. Number of people practicing spirituality worldwide in kalyug is more than the population in the previous yugas .

BTC: It strictly reveals that we have failed in all our previous chances given and now on the verge of wasting another precious one due to our own ages old ignorant and unlearning nature………! And probably all these Masters perfectly knew this truth that The Human Race is not going to change for his own good ever and their teaching would remain applicable in the future too.

A: Human means freedom of action . For the freedom to exist variety is needed . The variety is good vs evil . Human is made that way by nature. A man cannot be good , he needs to evil . It is his nature . We are all different some are good is something others are good in something else. Some are more evil and some are lesser evil . Variety is the spice of life . The underlying message is BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE. THE WORLD IS CREATED FOR INDIVIDUAL\'S TRANSFORMATION. IT IS ONE\'S DUTY TO USE IT FOR THIS OBJECTIVE. THE WORLD IS LIKE A DOG\'S TALE WE CANNOT UNDERSTAND IT /CHANGE IT . BETTER CHANGE WHAT WE CAN , OURSELVES. FOCUS ON PERSONAL INNER TRANSFORMATION.

BTC : So today on the birth anniversary of beloved GURU NANAK, who did not just belong to a single community, I would like to begin to work on the same and wish that all friends reading this honest write-up would give it a thought too.
