INSIDIOUS The Last Key (English) - The trend of unrequired sequels actually ruins the worthy impact of the initial films. [TTP (To The Point) Review by Bobby Sing] |
The ongoing trend of sequels continuing till many parts, circling around the same storyline and characters actually ruins the worthy impact of the initial films and adds nothing to the brand making a big fool of the audience selling mediocrity.
The fourth part of INSIDIOUS franchise (directed by Adam Robitel) exactly does the same and fails to do any justice to the excitement around its brand or interesting premise. Revolving around the character of Elise, her family and a dark, scary childhood, the film offers you nothing novel in terms of concept, plot or twists in its completely unimpressive storyline right till the clichéd climax. The real scares are very few and those too become entirely predictable with many unrequired frames making you wait for the same creating a lot less impact than desired. The humour inserted through some dialogues falls flat and the only thing that works in the film is the expressive mother-daughter emotions resulting in some engrossing moments in between.
