Taxi No. 9-2-11 (2006) & Changing Lanes (2002)

When I first saw Taxi No. 9-2-11, I was quite impressed by its entertaining treatment and the unique storyline. Especially, Nana Patekar, superbly playing the eccentric Taxi Driver was the major USP of the movie having a fast paced script with no dull moments.

But I really felt quite low to find that this authentic looking movie was also an inspired version of an Original English Flick called "Changing Lanes" (2002), featuring another of my favourite actor Samuel L. Jackson.

But the silver lining in the dark clouds is that the Indian Version was more thrilling and captivating than its English source. And “Taxi No. 9-2-11” can easily be included in the category of Better Inspired Movies, where a version outshines its original.
