Trishul (1978) - (Movies To See Before You Die - Thriller)

Trishul - Bobby Talks Cinema.com

One of the best movies on the relationship between a father and his illegitimate son. Amitabh Bachhan and Sanjeev Kumar unarguably give one of their career best performances in this intense movie. The movie is based on an unusual plot in which a son wants to take revenge from his father who left him and his mother alone and went on to become the biggest builder in the town.

Yash Chopra again is at his best and gives out another Classy movie to Indian Cinema. Rakhee is very fine and calm in the role of secretary to both Amitabh and Sanjeev Kumar at times. Shashi Kapoor is funny & convincing as a flirt businessman. Hema Malini along with Waheeda Rehman,Poonam Dhillon and Sachin do full justice in their smaller roles. A well written script and screenplay which also became an inspiration to many future bollywood movies. Strongly Recommended if you haven’t seen it yet.

Directed By Yash Chopra

While watching this movie, one scene always bother me,& I am not able to digest it. can you give an explanation?

1. When Amitabh exposed the real dishonest employee (who was leaking the tender's imformation to Amitabh) in front of Sanjeev Kumar and Shashi Kapoor, Why they both consider Amitabh a good man & only that employee a bad man . In my opinion they should be angry with Amitabh also, as he was doing the wrong practices to get the tender. Means he should be considered an enemy not friend.

Some people gave me the reason that it is a common practice in business so thats whey they don't see Amitabh an enemy, but still I am not convinced............Do you have any other reason ?

Dear Amit,
Sorry for the late reply as many comments got hidden due to a technical glitch.

Regarding the point raised, why should Sanjeev Kumar and Shashi Kapoor be concerned about Amitabh being good or bad person. He is their competitor, thats it.

Whether he is good or bad is not important and is not their issue..
The competitor shouldnt win the game is always the issue.

So good or bad is of no use or of no importance to them and they dont even care about that.

They should be angry with Amitabh only because he has won the tender.
That is the point of anger.
His doing wrong practices is not the reason of anger and its never is in between competitors.

Cheers!
