UDANCHHOO - If only you wish to see Ashutosh Rana in a differently poor comic avatar. [TTP (To The Point) Review by Bobby Sing]

05 Jan, 2018 | Movie Reviews / 2018 Releases

The first week or the first Friday of a new year is considered to be jinxed as very rarely has any film worked in the past released on this particular day. In fact the last time the jinx didn’t work was in 2011 when NO ONE KILLED JESSICA made a decent impact on the audience with its solid content. Unfortunately this year the trend continues and UDANCHHOO (directed by Vipin Parashar) comes as the first Hindi release of the year falling way short of whatever minimum expectations it had raised (due to its interesting starcast).

Supposedly a comic con-movie, the film actually cons the viewers, giving them simply nothing in return for their costly multiplex tickets bought. Full of over the top acts by almost everyone in the cast, there are only two reasons you can watch it in extreme possibilities as mentioned below.

1. If you are a member of the famous Facebook group “I Love Trashy Hindi Movies” or

2. If you are a die-hard fan of either Prem Chopra or Ashutosh Rana and wish to see them in a different comic avatar, particularly Ashutosh.

Otherwise there is no reason one should go for UDANCHHOO, even when it gets aired free on a TV channel in the coming months.

Rating : 1 / 5 (Including an additional 0.5 for Ashutosh Rana, courageously trying a role in complete contrast of his set image.)
