MISSING - An annoying mystery that fails to provide the thrills despite the presence of three veterans and an interesting plot. [TTP (To The Point) Review By Bobby Sing]

A couple searching for their 3 years old daughter, whose existence itself is questionable was no doubt an exciting plot for making a highly engaging thriller featuring two outstanding actors as Manoj Bajpai and Tabu along with Annu Kapoor. But sadly the film doesn’t turn out to be anything close to that and surprisingly even becomes annoying after a while failing to do any kind of justice with its basic plot.

In fact, the only one who manages to grab your attention in the first half remains Annu Kapoor, trying to do a 'Karamchand’ as the official investigation officer. However post intermission both the mystery and the performers readily fall in the trap of being repetitive and unbearable resulting in a quite poor film. As a result MISSING (directed by Mukul Abhiyankar), misses being a worth watching suspense thriller offering nothing that can be recommended to the fans of this specific genre.

Interestingly, may be not as a direct inspiration but the film does remind you of a classic masterpiece of the west called BUNNY LAKE IS MISSING (1965) revolving around a similar plot (inlcuded in the must watch movies list at BTC).

So you can only watch MISSING if you must, post it gets released on an online portal and that too without expecting anything great out of it.
