"Take movies, music, poetry out of life & its gone!"

Articles on music, poetry & life

Music, as I feel, is not just a probability of arranging the seven notes differently.
Poetry, as I recite it, is not just a combination of words sounding musical……and
Life Force, as I live it, is a power which keeps us going even when we know that this all has to end one fine day, just like that.

The above elements are like the next essential senses for a human being, other than the famous six gifted by the Almighty (including the sixth sense) and in my opinion its really tough or nearly impossible living without these all.

Here its to be understood that it is not necessary that one should be able to write poetry or make music or a movie. But more important is that one should be able to enjoy all mediums of expressions in totality. Because in reality an appreciator is equally important or even more important than a creator completing the beautiful circle of Creativity. In fact, they are both like two sides of a coin, simply in-separable. In other words,
Listener) is also a gifted person like a TAN- SEN (creator/performer).

Truly speaking, an appreciator has some deeper responsibilities as he is free to study and appreciate any medium of art and doesn’t remain confined to any particular one. So be a creator or an appreciator, both can equally reach the ultimate stage, walking on their respective paths together. But here the important part is, that you do have to become any one of them essentially as ignoring these beautiful gifts of existence would just leave your life…….incomplete.

So in this section of the site, I would like to share my writings on music, poetry and life which I have experienced personally in the gone years. The write-ups here have my honest thoughts on life, its gifts, its roughness and its spirituality granted to us by the Almighty.
And your personal participation in the articles as comments is most welcome.

So Let’s Start Sharing & Enjoy Life Better !

HIMANSHU

Once there was a king who received a gift of two magnificent falcons from Arabia. They were peregrine falcons, the most beautiful birds he had ever seen. He gave the precious birds to his head falconer to be trained.

Months passed and one day the head falconer informed the king that though one of the falcons was flying majestically, soaring high in the sky, the other bird had not moved from its branch since the day it had arrived.

The king summoned healers and sorcerers from all the land to tend to the falcon, but no one could make the bird fly. He presented the task to the member of his court, but the next day, the king saw through the palace window that the bird had still not moved from its perch. Having tried everything else, the king thought to himself, "May be I need someone more familiar with the countryside to understand the nature of this problem." So he cried out to his court, "Go and get a farmer."

In the morning, the king was thrilled to see the falcon soaring high above the palace gardens. He said to his court, "Bring me the doer of this miracle."

The court quickly located the farmer, who came and stood before the king. The king asked him, "How did you make the falcon fly?"

With his head bowed, the farmer said to the king, " It was very easy, your highness. I simply cut the branch where the bird was sitting."

So let us learn to destroy the branch of fear we cling to and free ourselves to the glory of flight.

Dear Bobby,

Please publish a tribute to Ghazal Samrat Jagjit Singh.

Once I have the privilege of watching the live performance of King of Ghazal which I think hard to describe in words, I was spellbound to say the least & now this tragic incident happened,

Planning for second concert never materialize.......... thats life!!!!!!!!

May his noble Soul rest in peace.

Bobby Sing

Hi Vikas,
Thanks a lot for inspiring me to write about the one & only Jagjit Singh once again, as I had left the urge feeling that its so much to write about him that I will not be able to do that.

But today I have again decided to go for it in a different way.
Since he was a personality who had so many hidden aspects of him on which I would like to write about, hence I would rather go for a series of small articles on him, featuring his different hidden qualites which may be, are known to many but no one is writing about them in details.

So I would start writing on them from now and just keep on sharing your views on the same here and at FACEBOOK too (if possible) so that more and more can read them who loved the maestro from their true hearts.

Thanks once again for inspiring me and Keep Visiting,
Cheers!

Sandeep Rajani

Dear Bobby,

Have you done a crtique on the song "Kuchh Dil Ne KAha" from Anupama? Would love to read it.

Bobby Sing

Dear Sandeep Rajani,
Though I havent written on this particular song and have very rarely written on few songs as the basic subject of a complete article.
Still I would certainly keep in mind as this happens to be one of my favourite evergreen songs too.

However on second thoughts there is an interesting finding about its lyrics which I would surely write about soon in a collective article.

So stay tuned,
Cheers!
